Scott Stump nominated as Education Department Assistant Secretary for Career, Technical and Adult Education

May 16, 2018: Scott Stump was nominated as the Assistant Secretary for Career, Technical and Adult Education at the U.S. Department of Education on Monday, May 14, 2018. Stump is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Vivayic, Inc., a learning solutions company based in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was previously the Assistant Provost for Career and Technical Education at the Colorado Community College System. In 2014, Stump was the president of the National Association of State Directors of Career Technical Education consortium, which is now called Advance CTE. Stump received a B.S. in agricultural education from Purdue University.
