Stephen Feinberg appointed Chairman, White House President's Intelligence Advisory Board

May 15, 2018: Stephen A. Feinberg was appointed as the Chairman of the White House President’s Intelligence Advisory Board on Friday, May 11, 2018. Feinberg, 58, Republican, is the co-founder, executive chairman and co-chief executive officer of Cerberus Capital Management. Feinberg, a billionaire financier, co-founded Cerberus Capital Management in December, 1992, at the age of 32, with William L. Richter. He also founded or co-founded the other Cerberus affiliates and Cerberus Funds. Before he founded Cerberus Capital Management and its affiliates, Feinberg managed separate pools of capital for Gruntal and Co. and certain other accounts from 1985 to 1992. Feinberg started his career at Drexel Burnham Lambert, where he was actively involved in trading large pools of firm capital. Feinberg graduated from Princeton University. Feinberg is a member of the Cerberus Capital Management Private Equity Investment Committee, the Credit/Lending Committee, the Valuation Committee, the Real Estate Investment Committee, the Allocation Committee, the Brokerage Selection Committee, and the Global Distressed Debt Committee. Cerberus is the parent company of DynCorp, which is a major national security contractor with the U.S. government. Feinberg grew up in Spring Valley, New York.
