David Morales nominated as U.S. Distrift Court Judge for Texas Southern District

April 13, 2018: David S. Morales was nominated as a U.S. District Court Judge for the Southern District of Texas on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. Morales, of Texas, is currently a partner at Kelly Hart and Hallman LLP, where his practice focuses on complex litigation, administrative law and public and higher education law. Before he entered private law practice, Morales was a Deputy General Counsel at the University of Texas System Board of Regents, and he was the General Counsel at the Texas Governor’s Office. Morales worked at the Texas Attorney General’s Office for more than seventeen years, ultimately rising to the rank of Deputy Attorney General for Civil Litigation and Deputy First Assistant Attorney General. Morales received his law office from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio.
