Jonathan Katchen nominated as U.S. District Court Judge for Alaska

April 13, 2018: Jonathan W. Katchen was nominated as a U.S. District Court Judge for Alaska on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. Katchen, of Alaska, is currently a lawyer at the Anchorage office of Holland and Hart, where his practice focuses on commercial and natural resources litigation, including oil and gas law. Before he joined Holland and Hart in 2017, Katchen practiced law for five years at the Anchorage office of Crowell and Moring LLP. From 2010 to 2012, he was the Intergovernmental Coordinator for the Alaska Department of Natural Resources. He was also previously a Special Assistant to the Alaska Attorney General; an Assistant Attorney General at the Oil, Gas and Mining Section; and a litigation associate in private practice. Katchen received his M.A. from Boston College and his law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
