J. P. Hanlon nominated as U.S. District Court Judge for Indiana Southern District

April 13, 2018: J. P. Hanlon was nominated as a U.S. District Court Judge for the Southern District of Indiana on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. Hanlon, of Indiana, is currently a partner at the Indianapolis office of Faegre Baker Daniels LLP, where he is the co-chairman of the firm’s white-collar defense and investigations practice. He previously worked for five years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Indiana. Before that, Hanlon practiced for three years as an associate at the labor and employment practice group at Seyfarth Shaw LLP. Hanlon has also worked as an adjunct professor at the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, where he taught courses on white-collar crime. Hanlon received his law degree from the Valparaiso University School of Law.
