Elizabeth Darling nominated as Commissioner for Children, Youth and Families, U.S. Health and Human Services Department

March 13, 2018: Elizabeth Darling was nominated as the Commissioner for Children, Youth and Families at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on Friday, March 9, 2018. Darling, of Texas, is the president and chief executive officer of the OneStar Foundation, which supports non-profit organizations. Darling was previously the Chief Operating Officer of the U.S. Corporation for National and Community Service. Before that, she was the Deputy Secretary of the Maryland Department of Human Resources. She was also previously the Vice Chairman of the Board of the Texas Department of Human Services. Darling received a bachelor of science degree in education from Baylor University.
