Michigan State Sen. Bert Johnson resigns from his Senate District 2 seat

March 13, 2018: Bert Johnson has resigned from his Michigan State Senate District 2 seat. Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder announced yesterday, Monday, March 12, 2018, that he has scheduled a special primary election to fill the vacancy for the remainder of Johnson’s term for August 7, 2018. The general election is scheduled to be held on Nov. 6, 2018.
