Andrew Veprek appointed State Department Deputy Assistant Secretary, Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration

March 12, 2018: Andrew Veprek has been appointed as a Deputy Assistant Secretary at the Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (PRM) at the U.S. Department of State. Veprek is a federal government F0oreign Service officer detailed to the White House, which listed him as an “immigration adviser” in a 2017 staff document. He has worked closely there with White House Senior Policy Adviser Stephen Miller and the Domestic Policy Council, a current State official and a former official in touch with people still working at the department said. A former U.S. official also confirmed the State Department appointment of Veprek.
