Billy Williams confirmed as U.S. Attorney for Oregon

March 9, 2018: Billy J. Williams was confirmed as a U.S. Attorney for Oregon for a four-year term by the U.S. Senate on Wednesday, March 7, 2018. Williams, of Oregon, has been the court-appointed U.S. Attorney for Oregon since February, 2016. He has worked at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for Oregon since 2000, where he has worked as the First Assistant, Chief of the Criminal Division, Chief of the Violent Crimes Unit, and as the Tribal Liaison. He was previously the Senior Deputy District Attorney at the Multomah County District Attorney’s Office. Williams received his law degree from the Willamette University College of Law.
