Daniel Mosteller confirmed as U.S. Marshal for South Dakota

March 9, 2018: Daniel C. Mosteller was confirmed as a U.S. Marshal for South Dakota by the U.S. Senate for a four-year term on Wednesday, March 7, 2018. Mosteller, of South Dakota, was previously the Superintendent of the South Dakota Highway Patrol from 2003 to 2010. He first joined the South Dakota Highway Patrol as a State Trooper in 1983. He worked for the department for twenty-seven years until he retired. Since he retired, Mosteller has worked in security for the South Dakota Legislature during the legislative session, and he worked as a Law Enforcement Coordinator for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for South Dakota.
