Michael Rigas confirmed as Deputy Director, U.S. Office of Personnel Management

March 9, 2018: Michael Rigas was confirmed as the Deputy Director of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) by the U.S. Senate on Thursday, March 7, 2018. Rigas, of Massachusetts, is currently the Chief of Staff at the Massachusetts Department of Veterans Services. Rigas was previously an Associate Administrator at the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) during the administration of former President George W. Bush, and he worked for a decade in the private sector, including holding positions at Mellon Financial and Brown Brothers Harriman and Co. Rigas received an M.A. in public administration from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, and a B.A. and an M.A. in economics from Boston University.
