Karen Douglas appointed as Member, California Energy Commission

Feb. 12, 2018: Karen Douglas was re-appointed as a Member of the California Energy Commission by Gov. Jerry Brown on Friday, Feb. 2, 2018. Douglas, 44, Davis Democrat, has been a Commission Member since 2008. She was previously the director of the California Climate Initiative for the Environmental Defense Fund from 2005 to 2008. She also held several positions at the Planning and Conservation League from 2001 to 2005, including acting executive director and general counsel. Douglas received her law degree from the Stanford Law School and a master of public policy degree in environmental policy from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She will be paid $147,778 per year in her new post.
