Feb. 12, 2018: Timothy Hsu was appointed as the Director of Homeownership at the California Housing Finance Agency by Gov. Jerry Brown on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018. Hsu, 47, Sacramento Democrat, was most recently the agency’s Director of Financing since 2012. He has held several positions at the agency since 2002, including Financing Risk Manager, from 2005 to 2012, and Financing Officer in 2002. Hsu was previously a vice president at Goldman Sachs and Co. in 2003 and 2004, and the senior quantitative consultant at cfX Incorporated from 1995 to 2001. Hsu received a chartered financial analyst designation in 2007, and he received the financial risk manager designation in 2008. Hsu received a B.A. from Wesleyan University. He will be paid $203,520 per year in his new position.
