Thomas Parker confirmed as U.S. District Court Judge for Tennessee Western District

Jan. 12, 2018: Thomas L. R. Parker was confirmed as a U.S. District Court Judge for the Western District of Tennessee by the U.S. Senate on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018. Parker, of Tennessee, who was born in 1963, started his legal career as an associate at Waring Cox Lawyers in Memphis. He then worked as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Tennessee for nine years. Parker also worked as a shareholder at the Memphis office of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell and Berkowitz, P.C., where he worked on civil litigation and criminal matters. Parker was previously the president of the Memphis Bar Association. He is a fellow at the American College of Trial Lawyers. Parker received his law degree in 1989 from the Vanderbilt University School of Law.
