Paul Ney nominated as General Counsel, Defense Department

Jan. 11, 2018: Paul C. Ney, Jr., was nominated as the General Counsel of the U.S. Department of Defense on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018. Ney, of Tennessee, has most recently worked as the Chief Deputy Attorney General at the Tennessee Attorney General’s Office. Ney has also worked as a partner at Patterson Intellectual Property Law, P.C., in Nashville; as the Acting General Counsel at the U.S. Navy; as the Principal Deputy General Counsel at the U.S. Navy; and as the Deputy General Counsel for Legal Counsel at the Defense Department. Ney received his law degree and his masters in business administration degree from Vanderbilt University.
