Missouri State Sen. Ryan Silvey, Kansas City Republican, appointed to Public Service Commission

Jan. 10, 2018: Missouri State Sen. Ryan Silvey, Kansas City Republican, was appointed to fill an expired position on the Missouri Public Service Commission (PSC) by Gov. Eric Greitens on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018. As an interim appointment, Silvey’s nomination requires the approval of the Missouri State Senate within thirty days of the start of the legislative session, which started on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018. As a sitting member of the Missouri State Senate, Silvey will recuse himself from any vote affecting his own nomination, according to a statement from the Governor’s Office.
