Paul Winfree resigns as Deputy Director, White House Domestic Policy Council

Jan. 9, 2018: Paul Winfree recently resigned as the Deputy Director of the White House Domestic Policy Council. Winfree resigned in late 2017 to return to work for The Heritage Foundation, a private, non-governmental political organization in Washington, D.C. Winfree is currently the director of the of the Thomas A. Roe Institute for Economic Policy Studies and a Richard A. Aster Fellow at The Heritage Foundation, according to the organization’s website. Before he joined the Trump administration, Winfree was the director of the Thomas A. Roe Institute for Economic Policy Studies and the Center for Data Analysis and he was the inaugural Richard A. Aster Fellow at The Heritage Foundation. Before he joined the Heritage Foundation, he was the Director of Income Security at the U.S. Senate Committee on the Budget.
