Dec. 7, 2017: GAP Solutions, a government services company based in Herndon, Va., has been acquired by System One, a Pittsburgh professional staffing firm. System One is scheduled to use the deal to broaden its reach in the federal market. The company employs more than 7,000 people at more than fifty offices and hundreds of client locations. GAP employs 400 people. “System One’s longstanding reputation for building specialized workforce solutions and integrated services coupled with their strategic portfolio and national presence, makes them an excellent fit for our team and future plans,” said GAP Solutions President Diane Pairel in a statement. “We are excited about offering these expanded capabilities to enhance support to our longstanding federal customers.” Financial terms weren’t disclosed. System One has been active in recent years to gain entry to the energy, engineering, computer, commercial and scientific and clinical markets. Thomas H. Lee Partners, a Boston private equity firm, made a “significant investment” in System One in 2016. System One was one of seven private companies in Pittsburgh to increase revenue by more than $100 million from 2015 to 2016.
