Glen Smith confirmed as Member, Farm Credit Administration Board, U.S. Farm Credit Administration

Dec. 7, 2017: Glen R. Smith was confirmed as a Member of the U.S. Farm Credit Administration Board at the Farm Credit Administration (FCA) by the U.S. Senate on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017. Smith, of Iowa, was confirmed for a term that ends on May 21, 2022. Smith is the president and co-owner of Smith Land Service, a company he founded in 1982. The company specializes in farm management, land appraisal and farmland brokerage services, working in about thirty Iowa counties. Smith also owns and is the president of Smith Generation Farms, Inc., a family farm operation that encompasses about 2000 acres of primarily corn and soybeans in western Iowa. He is a native of Atlantic, Iowa, where he was raised on a diversified crop and livestock farm. FCA is an independent federal government agency.
