Gail Evans nominated as Inspector General, U.S. Social Security Administration

October 12, 2017: Gail S. Ennis was nominated as the Inspector General at the U.S. Social Security Administration (SSA) on Tuesday, October 10, 2017. Ennis, of Maryland, has worked as Wilmer, Cutler, Pickering, Hale and Dorr LLP since 1998. She was named as a partner at the firm in 2007. Her practice focused on securities litigation and enforcement and financial institutions, providing advice to banks, financial institutions and individuals about litigation and enforcement issues. Ennis received her law degree from the Brooklyn Law School. SSA is an independent federal government agency.
