Robert Lane retires as General Electric Board of Directors Member

October 11, 2017: Ed Garden was hired as a Member of the Board of Directors at General Electric on Monday, October 9, 2017. Garden succeeds Robert Lane, who retired after twelve years on the Board. Garden is the chief investment officer and a founding partner at Trian Fund Management, L.P. Garden is currently a director of The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation, where he is the chairman of its Human Resources and Compensation Committee, and he is a director at Pentair plc. Garden previously worked as a director at The Wendy’s Company from December, 2004, to December, 2015 and at Family Dollar Stores, Inc., from September, 2011, to July, 2015. General Electric is based in Boston.
