Matthew Fader appointed Maryland Court of Special Appeals Judge

October 9, 2017: Matthew J. Fader was appointed as a Maryland Court of Special Appeals Judge by Gov. Larry Hogan on Friday, October 6, 2017. Fager most recently worked as an Assistant Attorney General at the Maryland Office of the Attorney General since June, 2010. He was most recently the Chief of Civil Litigation for the Maryland state government. Before he joined the Maryland Attorney General’s Office, Fader was a partner at the Pittsburgh-based firm of Kirkpatrick and Lockhardt, LLP. Fader was previously a Trial Attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice from 1999 to 2002. Fader received his law degree from the Yale Law School.
